ABOUT

Perfect Vision & Sound is your partner in creating the customized audio-visual and automation system of your dreams. We provide the vision, experience and know-how to bring your project to life and enhance the way you live, work and relax.

We collaborate with clients, architects and designers to ensure every project – large or small – delivers just the right balance of performance, elegance and simplicity. Our 30+ year commitment to the communities we serve and the caring, hands-on service we provide is second to none.

We were founded in 1992 by Robert Serio (see bio below). Recognizing the emerging world of high‑end video and multi‑channel surround sound, Bob founded Perfect Vision & Sound with a simple, powerful philosophy – deliver the finest audio and video experience possible, tailored to each client’s needs. The name says it all.

Over the years, we have created custom mhome video theaters for hundreds of satisfied consumers, businesses and even celebrities. It’s no wonder that a majority of our new work comes from clients and their referrals.

In 2026, Bob transferred ownership of Perfect Vision & Sound to Joseph Chordas, a lifelong Connecticut resident and veteran professional proAV professional who shares the joy of the AV industry and is committed to ensuring the company’s legacy continues with the same dedication to craftsmanship, innovation and customer service.

Robert Serio
Founder

Perfect Vision & Sound was born from Robert Serio’s lifelong passion for electronics — a fascination that began at the age of three with the encouragement of his grandfather, Anthony Serio. In 1969, when Bob was just 15, he launched his first business selling electronic components and stereo systems to friends and family. At 21, he joined his family’s high end audio business, specializing in custom installation as early as 1976. In 1992, he founded Perfect Sound & Vision. Bob’s training came directly from industry pioneers, most notably Gordon J. Gow, president and co founder of McIntosh Laboratory. From Gow, Bob learned the foundational principle that shaped the company – listen carefully to the client, understand their needs, and design a system that truly serves them. For more than 45 years, Bob has been a trusted voice in consumer electronics. He was a frequent guest on Computer Talk with Tab, invited by Erik Semmel and TJ Benoit of Tab Computing in East Hartford. Each week, he offered honest, accurate advice to listeners on live radio and through online podcasts.
